Formed in 2017, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity (DEI) Council of Colorado engages in activities that promote awareness, education, and action designed to move communities toward valuing their uniqueness and differences.
Our members include state and local governments, businesses, faith communities, individual community members, nonprofits and the arts and entertainment community.
We believe that change only happens at the speed of relationships, and relationships based on mutual trust begin with willingness to be vulnerable and authentic with ourselves first.
The mission of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity (DEI) Council is to promote diversity, equity and inclusivity through awareness, education and action that engages our entire community and promotes a thriving environment.
Transform our diverse community into an environment where all are valued for their uniqueness and differences, and are confident that their contributions matter.
To encourage a thriving and inclusive work, school, home and community environment which is an attractive and desirable place to work, live and buy local.
Council gatherings in workshop, summit and entertainment formats designed to increase awareness and provide education while offering space for safe, yet courageous and authentic, conversations.
Our approach is to encourage authentic connections through experiential training, storytelling and courageous conversations. All topics of diversity (age, gender, ability, class, race, sexual preference, citizenship status, etc.) are available in the various approaches which are listed on our events page!
