Join Us for a Thought-Provoking Event: Socialization of Othering – The 4I's of Socialization

Discover how othering—the process of marking individuals or groups as different or less important—permeates through four layers of socialization: Individual, Interpersonal, Institutional, and Ideological. This event will explore how these layers interact to perpetuate social exclusion and inequality. Learn how personal beliefs, daily interactions, systems, and cultural ideologies contribute to this cycle and what can be done to challenge and change it.

Join us as we peel back the layers and work toward greater awareness and equity through engaging discussions, personal reflections, and expert insights. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how othering impacts both individuals and communities. This session continues our ongoing exploration of bias, stereotyping, and social justice.
